MAYC launched August 28, 2021 in two parts: a Mutant Serum airdrop to existing BAYC holders, which mutated their Apes into new variants, and a public Dutch auction for an additional 10,000 Mutants. The launch doubled the size of the Yuga ecosystem in a single day and established MAYC as a community in its own right.
